Savor Idaho, Boise ID

Savor Idaho is a new event sponsored by the Idaho Wine Commission to raise awareness and appreciation for ldaho wines and food. In its inaugural year, the event will be held at the Idaho Botanical Gardens on Sunday June 21st from 2 – 6 pm.

Second Annual Green Expo, Boise ID

The Idaho Green Expo is described as a celebration to foster the emergence of a new green economy - an economy that is sustainable, healthy, ethical and earth friendly. Idaho Preferred will co-sponsor the Food and Agriculture Track.. Last year, the Green Expo drew nearly 15,000 people over two days who were interested in local foods, sustainable living, renewable energy and more. Taste of Idaho, Boise, ID

Planning for the fifth annual Taste of Idaho is underway. This year’s event will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Qwest Arena. The event is jointly sponsored by Idaho Preferred, Albertsons, Sysco Foodservices, and Peak Communications. Taste of Idaho is a great opportunity for consumers to meet local farmers to sample and buy fresh Idaho foods. In addition to great food and wine, the Taste of Idaho will feature the second “Idaho Preferred Chef Challenge” starring local chefs creating mouthwatering dishes with Idaho products.
