Asparagus
Spring has sprung and with it comes the warm weather that helps produce the most mouth-watering asparagus. April and May are prime months to buy locally grown asparagus and you don’t have to go far to find this tasty and nutritious vegetable in Idaho. Hydro-cooled after cutting to keep it in its finest form, our producers have mastered the art of harvesting fresh, healthy and high-quality vegetables. As the days warm up, the asparagus grows rapidly and typically peaks around Mother’s Day. Due to Idaho's diverse climates and soils, we are able to provide consumers with all of the appealing flavors asparagus is known for. Grill it, steam it, sauté it with other vegetables or combine its nutty flavors with a smoked salmon and finish it off with a crisp, fruit filled glass of Idaho Riesling.
Asparagus. Something so delicious, so healthy, so local. Bon Appetit!
