Bear Grace Ranch
Cattle Ranch in Caldwell, Idaho
Micaela Swall and her husband started Bear Grace Ranch with their two children Ellie and Mark, in 2017. They purchased land in the Treasure Valley from an older cattleman who had farmed that land for decades. The Swall family wants to continue the legacy and honor the sacrifices, blood, sweat, and tears that families poured into the land for years before them. They don’t intend to erase or replace that, they plan to honor and remember it!
Bear Grace Ranch was founded for just that reason. Bear is for their son Mark Barrett and Grace for Ellie Grace. Because at the end of the day, it isn’t about them… it is about what they can leave for the next generation.
In 2020 the Swall family started offering beef shares to friends and family and it went great! They soon had friends asking when they would do it again because they knew someone interested. Each time they would increase the number of cows for butcher! In 2022, they decided to take a few cows for USDA Certified butcher, allowing them to put their label on the packaging and sell beef by the bundle or cut.
They are currently providing beef bundles for pickup and delivery. They have an easy-to-navigate website that highlights various selections for bundling, prices vary from $60 – $120 based upon cuts. They have also started growing and selling strawberries and blueberries!
