Grilled Cinnamon Apple Slices

Grilled Cinnamon Apple Slices
  • Serves: 4

For Grilled Cinnamon Apple Slices, you’ll want apples that can withstand the heat of grilling without turning mushy. If you enjoy a sweeter apple, Honeycrisp or Fuji are great choices. For a tart and tangy flavor, go for Granny Smith or Pink Lady. Braeburn and Gala offer a balance of flavors with a firm texture that is perfect for grilling.

  • 3-4 Idaho apples (look for a firm texture that can hold up to the grill)
  • 3 tablespoons melted Idaho butter
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Idaho honey

  • Serve with local vanilla ice cream for a special treat or non-fat Greek yogurt for a healthy snack!

  • Preheat grill to medium

  • Cut apples into 3/4 inch wedges. Brush apple slices with melted butter on both sides. Place each slice carefully on a warm grill. Grill apples approximately 3-5 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear. Once apple slices are warm through and grilled to desired texture, remove from grill and immediately sprinkle with cinnamon. Drizzle with local honey and enjoy!
