  • 1/4 cup turkey drippings (from the roasted turkey pan)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • After roasting your turkey, pour 1/4 cup of drippings into a saucepan over medium heat. Add 1/4 cup of flour and whisk continuously until it forms a smooth paste, about 2 minutes.

  • Gradually pour in 2 cups of chicken or turkey broth while whisking constantly. Continue whisking to avoid lumps.

  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Let it simmer and thicken, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Once the gravy reaches your desired consistency, remove it from heat. Pour it into a gravy boat and serve it warm over sliced turkey, mashed potatoes, or your favorite Thanksgiving sides.
